Coronado, California – Present Day

Navy SEAL Zachary “Pretty Boy” Floyd is in trouble. Not only has he been mooning for two years over the only girl to ever turn him down, a Viking warrior maiden called Britta the Big, he’s also paying for a quickie in Afghanistan six years ago. Pretty Boy pulled his five-year-old son, Samir “Sammy” Abdul Hassim Arsallah Floyd, out of a terrorist camp where he had been living since his mother died, and illegally removed him from the country. So he has the Afghan government, terrorists, the State Department, the Navy, and his family breathing down his neck, and he has been taken off active duty until the whole fiasco is sorted out. Another part of the punishment for his indiscretion is to be an instructor for the new women’s SEAL team, called WEALs. Pretty Boy is amazed by the person he sees there, a sight he thought he would never see again.

After the SEAL team and Hilda disappeared in a mudslide at the Sanctuary two years ago, Britta “the Big” Asadottir left, only to find herself trapped at a nunnery in fear of her loathsome father. Britta decides to fake her own death to escape, but her supposed fall from a cliff becomes all too real. But instead of falling to her death on the jagged rocks below, she is hurled through time. You can imagine her surprise when she lands on her butt in the middle of WEALs training, right in Pretty Boy’s path.

Their unquenched lust for one another is soon burning out of control, but is it enough to keep Britta from being pulled back to the past? Or will it distract Pretty Boy and make him lose his son, as well as Britta, forever?

DOWN AND DIRTY is the fourth book in the Viking/SEALs series, (WET AND WILD, HOT AND HEAVY, and ROUGH AND READY) and I have to say that I absolutely love them! The stories are quick and witty, the characters are easy to fall in love with, and DOWN AND DIRTY is just as entertaining as the previous books in the series.

Pretty Boy is a lovable rake who is willing to change his ways not only for the love a good woman, but also for his unexpected son. And what a son! I have two boys, and if they were anything like “Sammy the Snot” I would go insane, but since he’s not mine, (and hopefully not real) I can say that, while troublesome, he is a funny and delightful character and you’ll be anxiously waiting to see what he does next. Britta is a strong character both in body and in spirit, but she remains feminine and has a quick and biting tongue. Together, this trio will have the readers speeding thru the book and laughing out loud. A fast and fun read, don’t miss it.
