Morgan Isle ~ Present Day
For eight years, Hannah Renault has been in training
to become the bride of Prince Phillip, who is now the King of
Morgan Isle. As THE KING’S CONVENIENT BRIDE opens, Hannah
has arrived for her wedding to a man she barely knows. She wants
to get to know Phillip before they march down the aisle, but he
seems determined to have little contact with her. Despite his
aloofness toward her, Hannah soon finds herself falling in love.
Phillip was raised that duty comes first; love is
never desired. For that reason he’ll marry a woman he doesn’t
love, though the more he’s around Hannah, the more he’s
intrigued by her. Duty dictates that he spend only enough time
with his bride to conceive an heir, but Phillip begins to discover
he wants to make love to Hannah over and over. Can a couple get
beyond what is expected of them and forge a life together as a
couple?
Readers are introduced to the royal family of Morgan’s
Isle in THE KING’S CONVENIENT BRIDE, the first book in the
Royal Seductions series. While arranged marriages seem out of
date in our modern times, Hannah and Phillip agreed to one, despite
living disparate lives. He was born and raised on Morgan Isle,
while Hannah was raised in the United States. Hannah is suddenly
thrust into a life she thought she was prepared for. And with
Phillip’s seemingly uncaring attitude toward her at first,
she’s wondering if she’s made a mistake.
Phillip doesn’t want to admit he finds Hannah
attractive and endearing. As the heir to the throne, he is used
to adoring females fawning over him, but Hannah’s sweet
innocence is refreshing. When she indicates she wants them to
spend time together, he agrees, only to soon realize he enjoys
being around her. But once they’re married and duty prevails,
can a royal couple make a marriage grow under the scrutiny of
the public eye?
Minor characters of note are Phillip’s sister,
Princess Sophie, their illegitimate half brother, Prince Ethan,
and Hannah’s personal assistant, Elizabeth Pryce, who, as
it turns out, will be the love interest of Ethan's in THE ILLEGITIMATE
PRINCE’S BABY, also out this month from Silhouette Desire.
A marriage made by others turns into a marriage of
love for Phillip and Hannah. Pick up THE KING'S CONVENIENT BRIDE
for some enjoyable reading.
