MISTRESS & A MILLION DOLLARS

His sharp eyes are very good and come to see her as a person, not a model. However, there are many obstacles preventing him from believing her trustworthy, including some gemstones her sister left in Briana's safe just before her disastrous flight. Maxine Sullivan depicts the hero and heroine in MISTRESS & A MILLION DOLLARS with a sensitive eye for detail. Both characters are independent, down-to-earth people. Neither lets wealth nor position influence their view of themselves. Together they create another romantic jewel for the Diamonds Down Under series. MISTRESS & A MILLION DOLLARS is the third book in the Diamonds Down Under series and certainly adds to the suspense of the ongoing mystery built in the previous two books. Again, a different author writes the love story of one of the family members, giving a slightly different view of preceding characters and events. Just like what happens in real life. One of the great attractions of this series is discovering what events took place a generation ago that split the Blackstone and Hammond families. Readers of the series will learn more and be speculating as to what really happened. If you are a new reader to the series, you will be right at home, too, as the stories stand alone.
