New York City ~ Present Day

House sitter Carrie Gray enjoys living at 721 Park Avenue, except for one thing: her next door neighbor, millionaire bachelor Trent Tanford, has a steady stream of ladies who always seem to accidentally end up knocking on Carrie’s door. She finally gets fed up and goes over to tell him off, but the man surprises her by literally charming her socks off. They have nothing in common, and no way is Carrie going to fall into bed with Trent. However, he ups the stakes one day by posing a question to her: will you marry me?

Trent certainly knows how to be wild and how to avoid relationships, but with his being questioned by the police about a mysterious death at the 721 Park Ave building, and his father once again pressuring him to marry, well, Trent suddenly needs a wife. His family’s company doesn’t need a scandal, and with his father threatening to throw him out of the firm, Carrie seems like she would fit the bill. She’d be a safe marriage he can walk away from. But why does he feel a stirring of desire for her?

An unlikely couple is the highlight of FRONT PAGE ENGAGEMENT. Trent is the quintessential playboy with plans to never date a woman longer than four weeks. Trent needs a respectable woman to be his wife while he weathers the storm of scandal that is brewing around him. You know what they say about never being able to take the wildness out of bad boys… Trent doesn’t want to get married, but figures a year at the most and he’ll be able to walk away.

Carrie is in need of some money to help take care of her ill mother. So, for this reason, she’s considering Trent’s shocking proposal. But what Carrie doesn’t know is that he hasn’t told her the real reason he wants to marry her. Moving in with Trent, she envisions their cohabitating without any emotional involvement. However, she can’t deny the attraction which is between them. As they grow closer, the desire builds. Will their marriage in name only end up being the kind with sexual benefits?

Another intriguing installment of the Park Avenue Scandals series, Laura Wright has hit a winner with this enjoyable tale. Did someone kill Marie Endicott? Guess we’ll have to find out as the series continues next month with PRINCE OF MIDTOWN.

Meanwhile, Carrie is sweet, and Trent doesn’t have a clue what he’s in for as he is woven into a web of passion and desire for her. Will this confirmed bachelor fall in love? Will their marriage turn out to be the real thing? Readers will have to discover for themselves by picking up a copy of FRONT PAGE ENGAGEMENT.
