Contemporary Romantic Suspense

Port Trevan and Norfolk, England – Present Day

After her last assignment, Sophie Green realized that it was either her job or her boyfriend. An international spy with no formal training beyond being a ditsy blonde with a propensity to find trouble, Sophie knows she needs to concentrate on honing her skills, and that means giving up Luke, sometimes partner and drool-worthy lover. Unfortunately, breaking up with Luke doesn’t stop Sophie from thinking about him, looking at him, fantasizing about…darn it, there she goes again! So, of course, the fact that she’s now going on vacation with him, as well as the other members of their small organization, is not easy to bear.

However, the team’s small holiday is immediately in jeopardy as circumstances serve to split them up, and Sophie, once again, manages to land herself in a bit of a mess. Also adding to the mayhem of Sophie’s life is the recent breakup of her friend Angel from CIA-agent-on-loan to the British, Harvey. It seems everyone has been keeping secrets, including Sophie, and those hidden nuggets are about to make themselves felt in explosive and unexpected ways.

As hilariously funny as the previous three books in the series, STILL WATERS continues the entertaining adventures of Sophie Green, spy. Even on holiday Sophie can’t seem to stay out of trouble, personal or professional. Then again, it’s never a good idea to go on vacation with your ex, especially when you’re not over him. Add in a mysterious murder and a couple of near misses and it’s clear to Sophie, ok everyone, that someone wants Sophie dead. Readers will be happy to see Macbeth and Maria make brief reappearances, though the tale revolves mainly around Sophie and Luke and, to a lesser extent, Harvey and Angel. A pint-sized addition to the characters -- hmm, make that two -- just about steals the show with every scene.

Kate Johnson has created another captivating tale that grabs readers from the first word and tickles their funny bone until the last. From romantic drama to murderous mayhem, STILL WATERS will keep you guessing and laughing until the end.
