South Beach, Florida – Present Day

After his last job ended badly, Yancy Adams has felt as if he’s living on borrowed time. A security specialist with Aztec, his job is his life. But, because of the way his undercover assignment ended, his loyalty has been called into question. Even worse, the woman he can’t stop wanting is the one who believes he’s compromised the company.

Mauve O’Connor has not gotten over her one night of passion with Yancy Adams. The only thing that’s to her advantage is that he was so drunk when they were together that he barely remembers the encounter. Unfortunately, even drunk, Yancy totally rocked her world. Now, not sure whether he betrayed Aztec or not, Mauve is doing her best to watch his every move on their new assignment.

But an enemy from old is about to make himself known, and Mauve and Yancy are going to have to decide quickly whom they can trust.

A romantic tale of love and suspense, MAUVELOUS follows two individuals so fearful of love that they constantly push the other away. It takes danger and a few gunshots to turn the tide between Yancy and Mauve. Secondary characters play bit roles in the tale, mainly as background for the mystery Yancy and Mauve are neck deep in. The tale is well paced and engaging and raises high hopes for the next tale in this series.
