Paranormal Romance Novella

South America and Los Angeles, California - Present Day

Meg Westfield isn’t your typical boring college professor. Nope, Meg’s a bit of a wild child, and her favorite activity is treasure hunting. On yet another trip to South America to look for undiscovered ruins, Meg is tramping through the jungle when she hears a gunshot (luckily her guides, and Meg, carry guns, so that’s not too scary). Unfortunately, her guides have shot a beautiful jaguar and like the kind hearted soul she is, Meg insists on bringing it back to camp to nurse it back to health (and hey, rescuing a big cat will make a great story when she gets back home). Too bad Meg’s guides don’t agree with her idea and feel the need to skedaddle, leaving Meg behind with one very ticked off kitty. The whole kitty-turning-into-a-handsome-man thing that happens next is probably just a figment of Meg’s imagination, right? Um, no, as a matter of fact, it’s not. So what exactly happens when a wild child from the States meets a truly wild child? Fireworks of course!

TREASURE HUNTING is the perfect title for this funny, sexy story. Not only is it Meg’s hobby, but when two people are looking for love (whether they know they are or not), that’s definitely treasure hunting in my book. Because, after all, what greater treasure could there be? Meg is funny, outrageously determined, and very vocal in her opinions (knowing Santiago can’t understand English let’s her be free with her speech). Santiago (the jaguar and Meg’s own personal sun god, or so she likes to think) is strong, smart and equally attracted to Meg. But, there is a hitch, Santiago has been burned by human women before, and he’s not inclined to trust his heart to another. Then there’s his family (a whole village of people who don’t trust outsiders) and, of course, the armed thieves, the threat of infection from his bullet wound, and the natural difference in their lives. With so much against them, how can this pair ever hope to find their happy ending?

The secondary characters in this story are fairly unimportant as Meg and Santiago are the focus, but they do affect them both and therefore help propel the story along. Frieda is a cheerful woman in Santiago’s village; Hector is a not so cheerful man in the village. While Frieda treats Meg well, Hector is quite busy trying to convince the unwanted human to go home already.

Is Frieda’s friendliness real? will Hector convince Meg to give up the man she’s coming to love? And what about those thieves? You’ll have to read TREASURE HUNTING to find out what happens to Meg and Santiago. Trust me, it’s worth your time and money. Stop by Samhain today and get your copy of this funny, sexy story.
