Lake Bluff, Georgia - Present Day

Sheriff Grace McDaniel has seen some strange things go on in Lake Bluff. Not too long ago, there was a band of gypsies who came to town, all of them shapeshifters, and Malachi their leader, a werewolf. Her best friend Claire is now married to him and all is well. However, the people this creature targets are already dying of some type of disease or old age. With Ian's arrival in town, along with the visits from her grandmother's spirit, Grace is up to her elbows in troubles. Ian sets up business as a healer in Lake Bluff, but that's not his only reason for being there. He is part of another group who rids the world of evil spirits, and right now this town has a bad one...The Raven Mocker. It can take over anyone's receptive body. That means it could be the butcher, the chef, or even Grace or Ian themselves. They will just have to trust their instincts and each other to uncover the truth and end The Raven Mocker's reign of death. As Ian and Grace work together, they become close. The sexual tension between them is thick and more than just lust. However, neither of them is ready to admit that...just yet. Secondary characters include Claire, Malachi, and the townsfolk. The story, however, revolves mostly around Grace, Ian, and The Raven Mocker.
