Paranormal Suspense

Hollywood, California - Present Day

Celebrity medium Jamie Vegas has looked forward to having her own television show since she got into the business. Regular spots on hot talk shows are great, but her own show would mean she has achieved the ultimate success. Being asked to be on a reality show with other mediums aimed at raising the ghost of Marilyn Monroe is the first major step to achieving Jamie's dream. Equally as dreamy is the fact that Jamie finally got Jeremy Danvers, Alpha of the werewolf pack, to agree to come visit with her during the shoot...without bodyguards or anyone else in tow. Maybe Jamie has a chance to take their friendship to a new level.

But it's soon clear that the director of the reality show has other things in mind than just raising Marilyn's ghost. Determined to pit the mediums against each other and create artificially interesting situations, they are constantly putting Jamie in the middle of chaos. On top of this, Jamie has discovered the remnants of some child ghosts in the house's garden. The fact that Jamie can't hear these ghosts speak to her is strange, but even more alarming is that they are children. Who is killing children and why? Can Jamie chase down the culprits, satisfy the producers of the Marilyn Monroe show, and seduce Jeremy all at the same time? She's certainly going to give it a good try!

Occasionally, books in a long-standing series can get stale and lose their edge. Not so NO HUMANS INVOLVED, Kelley Armstrong's seventh addition to the Women of the Otherworld series. It's medium and necromancer Jamie Vegas's turn at the helm, and she's making the most of her moment in the spotlight. Although she doesn't have werewolf Elena's strength, ferocity, and agility, or even Eve's magical powers, Jamie is not without her own gifts. She used to think the dead were just annoying, but, as it turns out, ghosts can be quite useful.

Jamie is also ready to finally make a play for the man she's had a crush on for years. Jeremy is one of the most low-key of characters, especially for a werewolf. Since he rarely gives away what he's thinking or feeling, Jamie is unsure where she stands with him. Are they just friends or can there be more between them? As Ms. Armstrong doesn't do anything in small measures, expect a few surprises with this blossoming relationship.

Although Jamie is the focus of the tale, all of the Women of the Otherworld make brief appearances, each with a key role to play. Another great story you won't want to miss, pick up your copy of NO HUMANS INVOLVED today!
