She doesn’t know what happened, all she does know is that she single-handedly, with no weapon, killed 12 demons, and now Cadeon Woede, a man she has met only once, is offering his help to rid her of these new and frightening abilities.

Cadeon Woede, prince without a kingdom and Lore mercenary without equal, must be despised by the Fates. He was fostered out as a young demon to peasants and blamed for the loss of his brother, Rydstrom, and Rydstrom’s kingdom, Rothkalina. And now, his one fated love, the female he waited over 900 years for, is a human he can never claim. Meeting Holly Ashwin and watching over her for the last year, and knowing that she’s his but he can never have her has been horrible. Finding out that she’s really the Valkyrie/Vessel that he and is brother agreed to take to the evil sorcerer, Groot, in exchange for the only weapon that can kill the upstart, Omort the Deathless, and reclaim Rothkalina? Oh, that’s so much worse.

Yet, Cadeon hatches a plan where he can keep Holly for himself and get the sword from Groot. The trick is, no one can know, and if things don’t go as planned, he’ll lose everything…maybe, for once, the Fates will be on his side.

DARK DESIRES AFTER DUSK is the sixth book in the Immortals After Dark series, and I’m in love. And, what’s not to love? The stories are fresh, exciting, and action packed. The ladies are fierce, feisty, and quick, and the guys are dark, smoldering and BAD. The regular appearance of characters from previous books, as well as (maybe) future books, adds to the community feeling of the Lore world. Never mind the fact that they’re always fighting and killing each other. DARK DESIRES AFTER DUSK is a rollercoaster ride that starts like a shot, is chock full of loop-de-loops and heart stopping moments, and it doesn’t come to an abrupt, screeching halt. Unlike some series, a reader can start with a book that is not the first in the series and will still know what is going on. So, if you like paranormal and haven’t read the series, please don’t hesitate to get DARK DESIRES AFTER DUSK, and just gorge! It will be fun, and much better than…you fill in the blank. If you have read the series, be prepared to read a book that is spot on par with the last ones!
