Historical Romance

Arizona Territory – 1840

Wylena Schrock has lost her parents and home to a tornado and has left Illinois for the mission run by her brother, Joshua, in the Arizona Territory. She had hoped that her life would be peaceful with Joshua and his twin, Jeb. But nothing could have prepared her for being kidnapped by General Zamora and his Mexican troops. She is not the only captive. Bright Star, an Apache maiden, has also had the misfortune to be where Wylena is being held. But Bright Star has been abused, and Wylena cannot help her.

Falcon Moon, a young Apache Chief, and some of his warriors have come to rescue his sister. When Bright Star is freed, Falcon Moon decides to take Wylena with them. Scared and expecting even worse treatment from the Apache, Wylena is surprised when she gets to know Falcon Moon and his People. That surprise turns to astonishment when she and Falcon Moon fall in love.

But not everyone in his tribe is happy with Falcon Moon’s choice in bringing the white woman to their camp…

Jeb Schrock has his sights set on Bright Star. But rumors abound that he is an Apache killer…a collector of scalps. Neither Joshua nor Wylena can believe that their brother could do such things. Bull Nose, a member of Falcon Moon’s band, is also a troublemaker. And General Zamora is not out of the picture.

Cassie Edwards gives readers another glimpse into the lives of American Indians. Falcon Moon may be young, but he is true to his heritage. Wylena discovers a side of herself that she didn’t know could exist and struggles to reconcile two cultures into one existence. I like Ms. Edward’s style. She does not resort to histrionics or purple prose in telling the story of young love and familial loyalty. I recommend FALCON MOON.
