England and New York City, New York - Present Day

En route to her boss’s wedding, Marcella Tartaglia can’t imagine why a successful career woman in New York City would give up everything to become a vicar’s wife in the English countryside. Of course, the marriage means a Senior Editor position will be opening up at the magazine Marcella works for, and if she does a good job covering the wedding, the position will almost certainly go to Marcella. Barely having a social life, Marcella can’t imagine the kind of love it would take to willingly give up a life you love to move to another country just to be with someone.

Just before the wedding is to begin, the sound of a motorcycle disrupts the quiet setting, and Marcella and her friend Sallie go outside and see the most gorgeous man donning the rest of his wedding finery. When he walks the bride down the aisle, Marcella realizes that he must be her boss’s nephew, and is thrilled to see him checking her out as well. She later finds out that his name is William Stafford, and he’s definitely as interested in her as she is in him. She’s never felt this way about a man before, and Marcella is surprised to find herself wondering if a relationship between them is possible. But how will she react to the news that William is also a vicar, and very much tied to the community in which he serves?

An entertaining tale, I ONLY WANT TO BE WITH YOU features a woman on the verge of getting everything she’s always wanted, only to start wondering if she’s making the right choices. Marcella came from humble origins, worked her way up to a fairly prominent position in the publishing world and is -- hopefully -- about to take the next step. But, in the short time she spends with William, Marcella begins to question the path her life has taken. William has been thinking that the bishop may be right in hinting that it’s time William found a wife, but not until he sees Marcella does he seriously think of taking the advice. Of course, Marcella is definitely a “city girl” devoted to her career -- much like his former fiancée. With two people so committed to their careers, is there a way for love to prevail?
