THE DRAGON AND THE VIRGIN PRINCESS - Jo Beverley
The Mythical Saragond - Somewhere in Time

Princess Rozlinda thinks being the Sacrificial Virgin Princess of Saragond is a pain. For seven years she's been unable to flirt, kiss, or even be around a man, unless you count her relatives. So she is more than ready for the dragon to arrive so that she can go through the fake "sacrifice" of her blood and get on with her life. However, just as her blood is dribbled upon the designated site, the dragon appears, but is not alone. A man has flown on the back of the beast, and now demands Rozlinda's hand in marriage. But his motives may not be so noble, and Rozlinda has a few surprises in store as she travels with her new husband to his homeland...via dragon.

THE DRAGON AND THE DARK KNIGHT - Mary Jo Putney
England - In the Days of Knights, Ladies, and Dragons

Sir Kenrick of Rathbourne has spent much of his adult life as an itinerant tournament knight. His skills are more than adequate, although he is far from a wealthy man. At the end of the English tourney season, Kenrick is at a loss as to what to do or where to go to winter over. His young squire tells him of a wealthy baron in Cornwall who is looking for a champion to kill the dragon that is terrorizing his lands. Kenrick wonders if this isn't an opportunity for him to win enough money to settle down, find a wife, and raise a family. A bastard born, Kenrick knows that his chances are few to right the wrongs of his birth. So, he and Giles, his squire, head south to the rocky coast of Cornwall where they meet William of Penruth, who makes him an offer of land in exchange for the death of the dragon. But all is not what Penruth reveals to Kenrick, who finds that dragons are not necessarily what he thought they were, and neither is Penruth.

ANNA AND THE KING OF DRAGONS - Karen Harbaugh
Island of Kyushu, Japan - 1650

Anna Vanderzee has just lost her parents in an accident and has wandered away from the little Japanese village where they had been staying to ponder her future. She has no money, no skills, and wonders how she will return to Holland. Standing at the edge of a cliff near a waterfall, she contemplates how easy it would be to just fall and let the waters take her. This area is the home of a dragon, though, and when she accidentally slips, the dragon catches her and saves her life. Ryu-sama, the dragon, tells Anna that he will let her go only if she returns and brings some books for him. Hesitantly, but grateful to escape, she promises, and is amazed when the dragon also gives her some gold coins. Destitute no more, Anna returns to the farmhouse where she'd been staying and tells the owners about her experience. When she ventures back to the dragon's lair, however, eschewing anyone to escort her, she is attacked by hooligans and is rescued by a samurai from the local ruling family. He will escort her wherever she wants to go, but there is something about the man that both attracts Anna and piques her curiosity.

DRAGON FEATHERS -- Barbara Samuel
Santa Fe, New Mexico - Present Day

Widow Penny Freeman has moved from Missouri to Santa Fe for two reasons. First of all, she's been accepted into a very exclusive training program run by famed weaver, Senora Maria Libelula. And secondly, Santa Fe was where she and her late husband spent their honeymoon, and it has a special appeal to her. Buying a home there seemed to be out of the question, until suddenly a tiny adobe house perched at the top of a steep hill with sweeping views of the city, becomes available -- at a price within Penny's budget. The house seems to have a magical quality about it, immediately soothing Penny's grief, and smelling of brown sugar and butter. Penny also finds beautiful pink tinged feathers that smell of the house's unique odor. Classes at the weaving school invoke a special feeling in her. Senora Libelula welcomes her with open arms, and Joaquin, the Senora's son, has more than attracted her attention with his good looks and mysterious ability to appear at her house when she needs him. Penny may need Joaquin's help more than she anticipates. Why are locals curious about the feathers she thinks are from a peacock? And why have these same feathers caused some to threaten her?

Four delightfully magical tales from four incredibly talented authors, DRAGON LOVERS is uplifting, enchanting, and totally enjoyable.
