Canada – Present Day Kaya arrives home after being in New Zealand for a couple of months to discover a strange man in the house. She should be scared but she questions him, as he does her, because he insists that he is supposed to be there. His name is Leo, and it turns out that he is the son her late mentor and landlord gave up for adoption. Kaya knew that he’d been left everything by Julie Ann, but she had hoped that he would never show up. Now Leo is here…and he isn’t there to continue Julie Ann’s legacy, but to sell everything. Kaya has to persuade him to not sell because a generation of women in need depend on the women’s shelter founded by Julie Ann. Leo never expected to hear about the woman who gave him up for adoption. Mainly because instead of being adopted as a baby, he was placed in foster care. He hates his mother, Julie Ann, for what she did. Kaya insists that her mentor was not like that because she had thought he was being adopted by a loving family. But that is in the past, and Kaya hopes that Leo will change his mind about closing the shelter. Sparks fly between them, and it soon leads to a night of passion. But a failed condom soon ties them together for life. Things start off wrong for Kaya and Leo in BOUND BY HER BABY REVELATION after she finds him in the bedroom of the house where she lives. He didn’t realize that she lived there, so both were surprised. Julie Ann was wonderful to Kaya, like a second mother. Her sudden death saddened her, and she went to visit her mother in New Zealand to help cope with her mourning. Her hope that Leo would continue the shelter is soon dashed by his wish to just wash his hands of anything belonging to Julie Ann. Yet, despite their being at odds, an attraction develops. Neither expected that she would become pregnant, and she doesn’t beat around the bush. After contacting Leo to tell him she needs to talk to him, he arranges for her to fly where he is currently vacationing: the Bahamas. Under the sunny blue skies, Kaya finds herself falling for her baby’s father. Leo and Kaya have issues trusting people and love due to their childhood. Her mother is in her fourth marriage while Leo can’t forget what his mother did. While they distrust each other at first, they eventually do, and love soon blooms, though neither quite expects it.
