Browerville, New York – Present Day

Rabbi Josh Axelrod lives in New York City, but he’s back in Browerville for a month to help his beloved grandmother pack up and move from the family home. It’s been sold to Emma Geffner, who plans to remodel the three-story mansion into a bookstore/café, with her living quarters above it. Josh is annoyed at Emma because she will be changing the home he grew up in. They clash a couple of times, so he doesn’t like her. His grandmother convinces Josh to go out on a date via a local matchmaking service. Maybe a date with Samantha will get his mind off what’s going on with his grandmother and the move. Unfortunately, the date turns into a double date, with Emma and her date as the other couple. She is annoying Josh.

Emma has always wanted to own a bookstore, and she’s anxious to get started on the remodeling. She is working with Mrs. Axelrod so that she can come by and get the measurements for the remodeling. Unfortunately, Josh Axelrod isn’t happy about the whole thing. After she learns that her best friend, Samantha, has been paired with Josh, she convinces her to go on a double date. Yet, while Samantha and Rob (Emma’s date) are there, Josh and Emma can’t stop thinking about each other. Is an attraction developing?

We learn in FALLING FOR THE RABBI that Emma is the least favored child in her family. Her sister gets all the kudos while Emma never seems to do anything right. She is, however, about to have her dream of owning a bookstore become a reality. Josh is a pain, though she isn’t aware that he has misgivings about his grandmother selling her home. But since she is his only relative, he must help her do what’s best for her. Emma seems to be around when he least expects her. Meanwhile, Josh is starting to get involved in the town’s Jewish center. He wants marriage and a family, but is New York City the right place for him to settle down? Emma is Jewish but has stepped away from being religious. Her relationship with her family doesn’t help. But even as she finds herself becoming attracted to Josh, how can there be a future for them, because they are polar opposites?

It’s an enemies-to-lovers romance in FALLING FOR THE RABBI as Josh and Emma fight their growing attraction even as they battle each other. Will they resolve whatever differences they have? Find out by picking up this intriguing romance.
