Her goal is to attend her come-out, but that is soon pushed aside when she meets Hew. How can he resist her charms? But Hew does indeed, treating her like a little sister. He wants to protect her, not ravish her. Well, she will get his attention now by kidnapping him. Hew is the exact opposite of his devil incarnate brother Ludovic, who has a sexual appetite the size of Big Ben. Hew is more restrained and very much a gentleman. This is how he treats Vesta (to her annoyance) despite her attempts to get his attention.
