Dallas, Texas – Present Day

At seventeen years of age Jayna Winston is fighting for her life against her stepfather Darren, who is drunk again.  Only this time he has a certain look in his eyes, and she knows her days of his being “hands off” because of her age is about to come to an end.  She ends up jumping out her window and never looks back again.

That night Jayna was turned and became a Beta wolf, not as strong as an Alpha, but extremely devoted to their packs.  Jayna's Alpha, Liam, has Jayna and the rest of her pack working for the Albanians; Liam says they owe them money that he has borrowed, and they have to do their dirty work including robberies.  They are in the middle of robbing a warehouse when they come upon a problem.

Sergeant Gage Dixon is the commander of the Dallas SWAT team, all made up of werewolves, and as Eric Becker and his teammates enter the warehouse they are surprised to smell other werewolves; they didn't even know there was another pack in Dallas.  Just as the bullets are flying and people are running for their lives, Becker finds a female werewolf with a gun, and for some reason hides her in a shipping box for safety.  It couldn't be because she has a certain smell and she could be “The One”, could it?

After Jayna escapes back to where the Pack is staying, she wonders why the werewolf didn't kill her when he had a chance.  Becker doesn't know why he's hiding the information about Jayna from the rest of the SWAT pack, but he uses his computer and finds Jayna at her nearest Starbucks.  They start to get to know each other when her Alpha is starting them on more robberies.  All Eric can think of is telling a lie to Commander Gage and going undercover as another werewolf for Jayna's pack.  How long can Eric lead a double life, and can he commit robberies or kill people to show his trustworthiness?  And can Jayna believe that she is “The One” for Eric, and that he might be “The One” for her?

Paige Tyler continues her Special Wolf Alpha Team with Jayna and Eric; he and his Pack are trying to fight crime in Dallas, and Jayna and her pack are committing crimes.  She and the other four members of her pack don't want to rob people, but their duty is to their Alpha Liam, and they must do what he says, even though the Albanians are getting more and more bloodthirsty.

Secondary characters are Eric's SWAT members, especially Commander Gage and Eric's best friend Cooper.  Members of Jayna's pack are her friend Megan, and Moe, Chris, and Joseph.  Liam finally shows he's no Alpha, and the Albanians may have just tried to pull off more than they can handle.

IN THE COMPANY OF WOLVES follows HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF (January 2015), and WOLF TROUBLE (August 2015).  SWAT werewolves bring the thought of strong, handsome men to a new level, and Eric shows that he believes in “The One”, and finally convinces Jayna.  IN THE COMPANY OF WOLVES will lead you in a whole new direction with werewolves and love.
