Last Chance Ranch and Thunder Mountain Ranch, Wyoming – Present Day

As the final days of their crowd funding campaign draws to an end, microbrewery owner Finn O'Roarke and marketing guru Chelsea Trask are headed to Last Chance Ranch to pitch the concept of Thunder Mountain Academy and raise funds. But Chelsea's first sight of Finn in a cowboy outfit has her drooling. She's already had the hots for him over the years, but he's now even hotter as a cowboy. While they're not really alone, their trip does bring them closer, and leads to the realization they're attracted to each other.

Finn hasn't been back to Wyoming very often, but when his beloved foster mother has a health scare and he and his foster brothers learn that she and her husband are about to lose the ranch, they come up with an idea to raise funds for a new venture through Kickstarter. Chelsea is a marketing whiz, so Finn asks her to join in to help, and she does so enthusiastically. Finn and Chelsea first met five years ago when he hired her to help market his business, but he prefers to not mess up their fantastic platonic relationship by getting romantically involved with her. However, once in Wyoming—and seeing how sexy Chelsea is to be around—Finn soon changes his mind. Perhaps a hot, scorching affair they can both walk away from?

The concept of the Thunder Mountain Brotherhood trilogy is about three men who bonded as foster children under the care of Herb and Rosie Padgett, and they'll do anything for them, including helping out in a campaign to fund a new project for troubled teenagers. Finn and Chelsea have been mostly in the background during the series, but in ROLLING LIKE THUNDER they get their own tale…and get to act on the secret sexual fantasies they've had about each other. In the past, Finn tried to ignore his feelings for Chelsea to the point that he married—and divorced—another woman. Chelsea was ticked that Finn wouldn't look at her and kept her at arm's length, but on their trip she gets a chance to show him what he's been missing. It doesn't take long before Finn and Chelsea are locking lips—and more—in ROLLING LIKE THUNDER.

Finn has worked hard to get where he's at and sees Chelsea as part of the reason, so he didn't want to end their friendship by having an affair with her. She is a unique and colorful person with varying shades of hair and one who seems just the opposite of the conservative Finn, but there's no denying the satisfying mutual desire that rumbles between them. Finn could choose to ignore the simmering attraction he has for Chelsea, but it'd make for a long and miserable trip. Why not just give in to the passion, even as they talk about ending it once they're home in Seattle?

Readers looking for a steamy romance will find ROLLING LIKE THUNDER is the perfect tale to whet their appetites. Vicki Lewis Thompson's talent at whipping up sexy cowboy heroes and pairing them with feisty heroines along with some steamy love scenes is at the forefront in ROLLING LIKE THUNDER. Finn and Chelsea may have started out as friends not looking for love, but they are going to find it in this enjoyable and sexy tale.
