New York - Present Day

Cara Fletcher is astonished when she is sued by Fletcher Wolf, a corporate raider. Cara is a fashion designer; the name of her line is Fletcher's Gear. It just so happens that Fletcher Wolf's company is named Fletcher Tool and Gear Transmissions. Wolf believes her line's name infringes on his. Cara's lawyer and best friend believes they can win this war, but the costs will be tremendous. Cara has just regained custody of her twelve year-old daughter and knows that no matter what, she needs the money to care for her. If her business is gone, and she is indebted to court fees, how will they survive? To make matters worse, her opponent is the sexiest man, and she falls lust over heels for him. Both begin to work together on the case and find that there might be more to their less than meaningful attraction.

When it becomes apparent that someone is out to get Cara, can she save her firm from total destruction? Is Wolf the culprit, or is it someone else she least expects? Wolf vows to protect Cara and her firm. Together, they must find out who the culprit is before it is too late.

An engaging story, FASHION VICTIM is just what the title suggests. Cara, a fashion designer, falls victim to many factors throughout the novel. Wolf and Cara are two likable characters. The story picks up pace once the attacks begin to happen on Cara and her firm. Sue Swift crafts the latter half of the novel around who is behind the attacks and why. Until the trouble begins, most of the pages in FASHION VICTIM are filled with set up for what is coming. A fun romance and mystery; fans of the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich will enjoy this sleuth romance.
