Seattle & Merry, Washington – Present Day

Six months ago, Maisie Smart had a one-night stand with professional hockey player Nick King. While she is disappointed that Nick chose not to contact her again, she has moved on. She will be starting a new job soon and will be spending the Christmas holiday with her extended family. Shortly after she arrives, she learns to her horror that not only is Nick King there, but they will be sharing a bathroom. He’s currently recovering from an injury and spending time with his sister and nephew. After Maisie blows him off, they agree to be cordial, especially since they will be under the same roof. But soon, the feelings that brought them together rekindles their attraction. There can’t be a future between them because his career is in California, while hers is in Seattle. But can they have some fun in the meantime?

Maisie has always felt like an inferior in her family as her parents and siblings all have three-letter degrees after their names. She is an artistic photographer and has a job lined up in her field. But how will her parents react? You’d think they’d be happy, but her mother has made it clear that she wants Maisie to get a college degree. While she mulls over how to tell them about her new job, she gets distracted after learning that Nick is there. He normally wouldn’t be around for Christmas, but with his injury and the fact that his sister recently got a divorce, he feels that he needs to be there for her and his nephew. He remembers his one-night stand with Maisie. He can’t forget her! But he wasn’t in a good place then. Getting a second chance with the woman he never forgot feels like a good luck omen. They certainly strike sparks off each other. How long will it take for them to repeat that one-night stand, even if the house is full of guests?

YOU MAKE IT FEEL LIKE CHRISTMAS is a fun and enjoyable tale. Maisie loves Christmas but hates spending time with her parents because they are always critical of her career choices. She is close to her sister, Natalie, who is now expecting a baby. Their brother is there with his husband, who also provides a buffer. With so many people around, maybe she can ignore Nick. Fat chance! It doesn’t take long before they’re locking lips. While the lead-up to Christmas is pleasant, things come to a head on Christmas Day with Maisie’s parents. She decides to return to Seattle, but will Nick follow her? He is scheduled to return to playing hockey after Christmas, but he has some mental health issues to deal with. He is falling hard for Maisie, but hockey is his career, and he should be focused on that. What will Nick do? As he struggles with decisions, Maisie has to move on with her life. Will they get back together after Christmas?

Once you pick up YOU MAKE IT FEEL LIKE CHRISTMAS and start reading, you won’t want to put it down. The story is entertaining as you wonder what is going to happen next. It’s clear that Maisie and Nick are attracted to each other, but can they make a future together? Find out the answer by making this a part of your next reading journey.
