Camille recently publicly ended a bad long-term relationship with a guy who cheated on her. She desperately needs the job, even though she doesn’t have the necessary qualifications. For most of her life, Camille has been taken care of by the men in her life. Her relationship with Erik is bumpy, especially when she realizes that she’s attracted to him. And once they kiss, which leads to more, she knows that she has found a man who will not only satisfy her but treat her well.

For Erik, getting involved with Camille is dangerous. Not only would he ruin his friendship with his best friend, but he had vowed not to get emotionally involved with a woman who is off-limits to him. He became famous starring in a reality tv show and would rather not be in the spotlight again, especially with a woman whom the press is seeking for a story about her and her ex. Yet, as much as Erik wants to keep his distance, the harder it is to stay away from Camille.

At 125 pages, TROUBLE FOR HIRE might be a short story but it’s long on sizzling hot scenes between Erik and Camille. They dance around each other even as they continue to have the hots for each other. While part of the Rose Bend series, it is a standalone.
