Bear Ridge, Wyoming – Present Day It’s been nearly six months since rancher Nash Dawson got custody of his late brother’s triplets, after the boys’ parents and grandparents died in a plane crash. It’s been a media frenzy these past six months, and Nash has turned down every single interview request. That is, until he gets a call from the Cheyenne Daily Gazette, which has him recalling that former friend, Wendy Watson, is now employed by them. He agrees to an interview, but only if Wendy conducts the interview. When Nash and Wendy were thirteen, they had a falling out, but it didn’t stop him from following her journalism career. She has big plans that don’t involve Bear Ridge, while Nash’s life is on the ranch. Wendy was stunned and pleased that she finally got a big assignment, though she paused a bit when she realized it was about Nash and the triplets. He embarrassed her when they were thirteen, and she hasn’t forgotten the hurt that she experienced. Arriving at the ranch, their “reunion” is cordial, though Nash still has reservations about the whole thing. They agree upon some guidelines, and she gets to work watching him interact with his nephews. But Nash and Wendy also begin to talk, and soon they are developing an attraction. Will anything come of that attraction? If you love to read about babies intermixed with a romance, then THE RANCHER’S FAMED TRIPLETS will be the one you want to read. While Nash feels guilt over his last conversation with his brother before he died, he doesn’t regret taking over the guardianship of the boys. He has a system and a great support system from the rest of his family (parents and grandmother). Of course, their situation is still the talk of the area, while Nash would rather everyone just leave him alone. But maybe one interview—with Wendy—will stop the curiosity. However, he is soon noticing her more than he should. He doesn’t have time to get romantically involved, especially with a woman who has plans to explore the world as a journalist. Wendy has a somewhat strained relationship with her mother, who thought that she should have stayed in Bear Ridge and worked on the family farm, just like her sister. But Wendy always wanted to be a reporter, and she is starting to see her dream come true. The interview with Nash could be the next step to bigger and better things. Back in Nash’s orbit, the old feelings she had for him at thirteen resurface. She had a crush on him back then, and he squashed it by refusing to kiss her during a game. Now they are adults, and they are soon kissing. Is it real, or is he just reacting like a man who hasn’t been out on a date in six months? Once the interview is done, she leaves town again. Why break her heart…again…by going to bed with him. An emotionally charged tale that will tug at a reader’s heart, don’t miss THE RANCHER’S FAMED TRIPLETS. Patti Fischer |
