Royal, Texas – Present Day Five years ago was the worst time of journalist Willa St. Germaine’s career. He convinces her to stay on in hopes of rekindling their romance. But how will Jack feel when he learns about the daughter that she never told him about? So many secrets are flying under the radar in PATERNITY PAYBACK. Readers learn early on that Willa had a daughter with Jack and that she never forgave him for taking her off that job assignment. She also thought he was having an affair with the reporter to whom he reassigned the story. Jack didn’t tell Willa that he was about to propose to her, but the biggest secret he kept from her was the truth about his sister’s death. Turns out, his sister was targeted by the mafia to send a message to Jack to stop investigating the mayor. Yes, it is all complicated and convoluted, but by the end, it’s all sorted out. But the big question is whether Jack and Willa can salvage the love they clearly have for each other. PATERNITY PAYBACK is another tale in the Texas Cattleman’s series about dating apps and some missing diamonds. Most of the drama surrounding both has been solved. The series has one more story and then it’s over. In PATERNITY PAYBACK, we only see a few glimpses of other characters from the prior stories. This tale is mostly about Willa and Jack rediscovering their love—and him learning he is a father. Will it all end on a happy note for them?
