When Lily met Burke, she enjoyed their secret affair, but she soon became alarmed that someone would recognize her, so she broke off their relationship and moved. She’d remembered Burke talking fondly of Honeymoon Harbor and soon moved there and settled down—becoming friends with his family without his ever knowing it. Now he’s back, possibly for several weeks, and he’s angry at her. Despite Burke’s anger at Lily, there is still a deep-seated attraction between them. They can’t help running into each other, which only fans the flames, and soon, they are dating. Lily finally confesses the truth to Burke and it’s as if they’ve never been apart. But he will be leaving soon unless he decides on other plans for his career and future. As Burke mulls his future, his relationship with Lily deepens. They work so well together, and readers will be rooting for them to have a happily-ever-after. Lily still has to deal with the pain from her past but being with Burke and coming clean about it all helps in healing. As they continue to see each other, they grow closer. SECOND CHANCE SPRING is the fourth book in the Honeymoon Harbor series by JoAnn Ross. The connection between the books is the Mannion siblings and readers will get glimpses of them and there will interactions between them and Lily and Burke. But even if you haven’t read the prior books, you shouldn’t have too much trouble understanding the dynamics of the family and friends. There is a side story in SECOND CHANCE SPRING about Jim and Sage, but the main plot is the rekindled romance of Lily and Burke. Burke has decisions to make and a woman he loves.
