North Carolina – Present Day College professor Neve Dalton has spent a quiet few weeks on a sabbatical from her job, enjoying her time at the Top Dog Dude Ranch with her two sisters and a niece nearby. She even indulged in an affair with ranch employee Gil Hadley. She had to do anything to help get over the breakup of her last romance after she found out that she had lupus. But now, an area of concern has arisen. Neve is pregnant—with Gil’s baby. She doesn’t need this complication in her life, though she is excited about having a baby. How will he make their future forever if she keeps pushing him away? THEIR FESTIVE FOREVER is more of an emotional and sweet tale, with little to no sensuality. We learn early on that Neve is pregnant and is also dealing with a recent lupus diagnosis. After her ex-boyfriend dumped her, she sees herself as unlovable and shouldn’t even think about marriage. She resists Gil’s sweet attempts to integrate into her life at first, and he is convincing, especially after he takes in an abandoned dog that they found. Dogs are everywhere at Top Dog Dude Ranch, so what’s another one? Meanwhile, Gil’s adoptive father is preparing to give one of his kidneys to Neve’s ill niece, Lottie. Everyone is naturally concerned. An endearing and entertaining romance right from the start that will pull you into the lives of Neve and Gil, and it’s clear that they are attracted to each other.
