Moonlight Ridge, Tennessee – Present Day To abide by the wishes of their late grandmother’s will, Zelda Dalton and her two sisters are spending the summer in Moonlight Ridge at the Top Dog Dude Ranch. For Zelda, it’s a chance to start over after leaving an abusive relationship. She is currently the dog groomer on the ranch, and one day, she gets trapped in her office along with a rambunctious dog. It is cowboy Troy Shaw who rescues her, but not before she badly sprains her ankle. The single father is so helpful that he even offers to drive her back and forth to work, especially after Zelda offers his teenage daughter a job washing the dogs for her. Troy is a former rodeo star who left the business behind to concentrate on his willful daughter, Harper, who is having problems adjusting to her new life. He doesn’t have time to get involved with a woman, but it doesn’t stop an attraction from developing for Zelda. He is only in the area temporarily as he’s looking to open a horse training facility near Nashville once he secures funding. Troy has nothing to offer Zelda—or does he? Living on a dude ranch surrounded by humans, horses, and dogs makes for some entertaining reading in CHARMING THE COWBOY by Catherine Mann. Zelda thought love would be in the rearview mirror after her failed relationship. The original plan was to spend a few months at the dude ranch and then start a new life. But Zelda has grown to love working at Top Dog Dude Ranch. Troy has always been in the background and inaccessible, mainly because she sees him as arrogant and narcissistic after he mistakenly thought she was trying to pursue him. But once they get to know each other after her accident and his rescue of her, they realize they were wrong about the other. However, Troy’s first responsibility is still Harper. CHARMING THE COWBOY is a fun tale filled with emotion and family love. Everyone at the ranch is like one big happy family. But the emotion underscores the problems that Zelda and Troy are going through. She is trying to establish her independence, while he is trying to make his daughter happy and secure their future. Yet, the romance soon develops between Zelda and Troy, and readers will be rooting for them to find love and a future together. Can they make it work? Will the summer end happily for them? Find out the answer by picking up a copy of CHARMING THE COWBOY today. Patti Fischer |
