Texas – Present Day Journalist and single mom Cassie Cameron buys a remote farm in Texas with the intention of living off the land and supplementing her income. But she’s barely arrived when it starts pouring rain. Crossing the rickety bridge to her house, she is scared when she hits a dark figure. Turns out that it is her renter, a man she hadn’t yet met. It’s going to be tough after she invites him to stay with her until he can return to his cabin. They’re falling in love, and his secret is going to be harder to hide. STRANDED WITH THE COWBOY is a cute little story that has everything a reader might like. We have a single mom with a precocious little boy. A man who is not only handsome and has a secret, but he soon wins the hearts of the woman and her son. They are now living in awfully close quarters, with the rain keeping them inside, though once it stops, Ty is still living with Cassie. People arrive to start helping them, and he’s afraid that he will be recognized. He isn’t sure—yet—if he can trust Cassie with his secret. But the longer he waits, the harder it will be. Especially when Cassie already had one man in her life keep a secret from her. Their falling in love with each other starts slowly. First, Cassie and Ty must learn to trust each other, and then they start helping each other. Along the way, he picks up his guitar and starts to write songs again. He hadn’t done any of this after his accident. He still grieves his brother and feels to blame, but it was an accident. Cassie is worried about her future career as she needs to sell an article or face having to change her career to support her son.
