Henry Adams, Kansas- Present Day

A lot is happening in Henry Adams, Kansas. Christmas is almost here, and the folks of the town are getting ready to celebrate. There is the Christmas wedding of Bernadine Brown, owner of Henry Adams, and Malachi July. There is also the arrival of chef Thornton Webb and there is Brian Preston, a former foster kid, who is making the town proud because he has been accepted into MIT and is feeling down because his girlfriend just dumped him.

There is also Reverend Paula Grant who uplifts the town with her sermons and presence. Paula also has a doctorate in child psychology, and it is she who has helped the foster kids that Bernadine Brown brought with her when she bought the town. All the kids have found a home in Henry Adams. Reverend Grant is content with her life, but she does pray that God sends her someone she can live her life with.

A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER is the next book in Beverly Jenkins Blessings novels.  There are quite a few characters that readers of the series will read about to see what they are up to. For those of you who have not read the previous Blessings novels, like me, you might miss the backstory of some of these characters. There are quite a few things going on in this novel and they were all enjoyable to read about.

A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER has humor, one being that the town hates one of its citizens, Riley Curry and his hog, Cletus, romance, and a lot of interesting African American history details. A pleasant read that will not disappoint fans of the Blessings novels and for those who never read the previous books, it is a feel-good story that is sure to delight.
