Santa Barbara, California - Present Day

Thanks to her grandfather's archaic and chauvinistic attitude, Tara Lockhart has fought hard to earn a place in the family business. His belief that a woman can't run a company has caused Tara to devote her entire life to the business, and she's in control of everything at all times. Her lack of a social life and the feeling that something is missing have driven Tara to join a local BDSM club, where's she trying her hand at being a Dominatrix.

When her grandfather informs her that he's hired someone to manage the company, Tara is incensed. She's proven time and again that she's capable of running things on her own, but her grandfather would rather turn the reins over to a perfect stranger because of gender. From the first moment she meets her new colleague, something about Joe Scaletta rubs her the wrong way. Tara has no intention of helping him learn the business and hopes he'll leave if she's less than welcoming. Then Joe shows up at the BDSM club, and turns Tara's world on its ear.

As a Dominant, Joe's become very good at being able to sense what a woman needs, and everything he reads off Tara tells him of her desire to submit. She may be dressing the part of a Domme, but he knows that's not what she really wants. Seeing the way she is at work and the friction between her and her grandfather, Joe figures if he can get her to admit to what she really wants, working with her will be a lot easier. It won't be easy to convince a stubborn and controlling woman to give up that control, but Joe has always loved a challenge.

An intense erotic tale, TAMING TARA is a battle of wills from the very beginning. Since the death of her parents, Tara has felt that stepping into the place her father would have held in the company is her destiny. Battling her grandfather has left her frustrated and angry, and she takes this out on Joe, the person she sees as taking her place. A recent incident has made finding a job almost impossible for Joe, and only a family connection got him this job. He doesn't have any options, and he's not thrilled to be in the middle of a family power play, but his interest in Tara is enough to keep him here. When Tara finally gives in, Joe and Tara each have the most intense experience of their lives, but she's not willing to admit that submission is what she wants.

Secondary characters include Tara's sister, Sasha, who has always been the society princess their grandfather expects the girls to be, and also unexpectedly finds herself attracted to Joe's friend, Nick. Nick gave up a prominent law career and a social-climbing wife to work with at-risk children at a community center. Sasha is stunned by Nick's refusal of a date, and he makes her look a little deeper at herself than she is comfortable with. An interesting cast of characters worked into a steamy and emotional story are what you get with TAMING TARA.
