Legacy Canyon, Texas – Present Day

After adopting orphaned twin boys, Wyatt Larrabee decided to return home to Legacy Canyon so that they could be closer to his family. He has a new job as a meteorologist at a station in Amarillo, which is a bit of a comedown after working in Denver. Being a single dad, he has his family wanting to play matchmaker, which includes trying to pair him with Madi Brennan, who’s in town visiting her grandmother for a few weeks. At the end of February, she will return to Boston—and begin a new position as a pediatrician at a local clinic. Neither Wyatt nor Madi is looking for romance, but they decide to pretend to date to keep their families from setting them up with other people. But they are starting to like one another…a lot.

If you love cute babies and fake dating that soon turns into the real thing, then you will be thrilled to read A TEXAS-SIZED FAKE OUT. Wyatt is busy, but his number one priority is his twin boys, whom he adopted after the death of a distant relative. With that in mind, he must make sure to have reliable babysitting while he’s at work at the station. Wyatt’s father wasn’t happy when he first left the ranch, and even now is grumbling at his return because of his career choice of being a meteorologist. The family business is a large ranch, which is currently managed by Wyatt’s brother, Caleb.

Meanwhile, Wyatt and Madi are enjoying their time together. Being a pediatrician, she loves children. Her father is from Legacy Canyon, but he married into society in Boston, where he is a doctor. As their only child, Madi is expected to stay in Boston and take a position offered to her at the respected and well-known clinic. But she is waffling over her decision. Is Wyatt going to figure into what she decides? Or is it because she is expected to follow along with what her parents want? She is growing to care for Wyatt and his sons, yet she feels she can’t commit to staying in Legacy Canyon and disappointing her parents. What will she decide?

A TEXAS-SIZED FAKE OUT is emotion-filled and an enjoyable tale. Wyatt and Madi are likeable characters who are feeling the pressure from others around them. What they really want is to enjoy each other. Will there be a future for them together? You’ll have to pick up A TEXAS-SIZED FAKE OUT to find out.
