Aspen Creek, Colorado – Present Day

Nearly sixteen years ago, when she was eighteen, Dr. Andrea Taylor gave birth to a baby daughter. She didn’t feel ready to be a mother, so she chose to sign away her parental rights to the baby’s father, Cole Richards. She hasn’t had contact with Cole, but the baby, Crystal, hasn’t been far from her mind. She finally decides to find out where they are living now, which happens to be in Aspen Creek. Andrea plans to spend the summer there in a rented cabin while keeping her distance so she can watch her daughter. But a couple of complications arise. First, she runs into Cole shortly after she arrives. He recognizes her and is angry that she’s there. He tells her to stay away from Crystal. Which brings us to the other complication: Andrea inadvertently runs into her daughter (who doesn’t know who she is), who decides she wants to play matchmaker between her dad and her new friend.

From the moment that Andrea arrives at Aspen Creek, readers will sense that she is on a collision course in A REUNION TO REMEMBER, and her plan to lay low will fail. It does. She didn’t expect Cole to welcome her with open arms, but he is downright hostile. She gave up her child to pursue her career, which included attending medical school. He, on the other hand, devoted his life to raising Crystal. But Andrea never forgot her child, especially on Crystal’s birthday, which happens to be right around the corner. She had every intention of following Cole’s orders, but a chance meeting with Crystal, who takes a shine to the visitor, changes her plans. As Crystal continues to push her father toward Andrea, readers wonder how the teenager will react knowing that they know each other more than she could ever realize.

Andrea planned to visit Aspen Creek, then walk away once she had satisfied her curiosity about Crystal. Does she regret giving up her child? That’s complicated, especially if you remember that she was a senior in high school and had concrete plans for college. Cole had his own plans, but he doesn’t regret giving them up to raise his daughter as a single dad. He doesn’t date, which drives Crystal nuts because she thinks he’s lonely. But pushing Cole and Andrea together might reveal some truths she isn’t ready to accept. Readers will have to read this tale to find out what happens.

A compelling and emotional read, A REUNION TO REMEMBER is a sweet romance that you won’t want to miss.
