Sugar Creek Ranch, Texas – Present Day

Bria Rafferty is about to deliver divorce papers to her estranged husband, Sam, when he has a terrifying accident at the rodeo. When Sam comes to, he has forgotten the past six months and thinks he's still married to Bria. She agrees to his foster brothers' request that she go along with Sam's belief they are still married until he either regains his memory or is well enough to take the news. But once back on the ranch, Sam turns into an attentive, amorous husband who's ready to work on that baby they wanted—six months ago.

Sam is unaware that he and Bria broke off after she suffered a miscarriage and he didn't come home to comfort her. He feels the tension in Bria but can't understand what the problem is. He knows he wasn't the perfect husband, but he intends to make up for lost time. All he wants is a chance to make Bria happy and provide for her and their future children. Yet, the more Bria pushes him away, the more it has Sam wondering what is wrong. Will this prompt his memory to come back?

It's a second chance to undo the wrongs of their marriage for Bria and Sam in HIS MARRIAGE TO REMEMBER. Bria's pain has barely lessened after six months, especially when she recalls how Sam ignored her pleas for comfort in her time of need. For Bria, this was the last straw after Sam spent more time on the road building up his rodeo stock business than working on making their marriage succeed. She had just finally decided to make a clean break and gotten Sam to agree to sign the divorce papers when he had his accident. Her heart is torn at what she feels is partially her responsibility for the accident (he had just spotted her in the crowd which distracted him from the bull) and knowing that she should just make a clean break. Back living together has the old feelings of desire for Sam rising again. How will she manage to make it through the days (and nights) alone with Sam knowing he wants to exercise his marital rights?

After the accident, Sam realizes how precious life is and how the accident also affected Bria. She seems changed, yet he can't put a finger on it. He wants to soothe her and make things right and figures a chance to hold her in his arms and make love to her is the answer. Little by little, Sam begins to put the pieces together. What will he do when he realizes that Bria had left him and wanted a divorce? Can he mend their shattered marriage and have a second chance at a happily-ever-after with Bria?

Sam is a cowboy to fall in love with. The accident really brings it home to him how much he loves Bria, and he wants to cherish her for the rest of his life. Bria tries to harden her heart against Sam's romantic gestures, but slowly and surely, she falls in love with him again. A wonderful and heartwarming read, HIS MARRIAGE TO REMEMBER is a tale I highly recommend.
