Washington, D.C., the Present

It all started back when Congressman Jeffries was wounded and his son, Michael, was killed. The Capitol K-9 Unit was put on the case, but so far it's unsolved. A person of interest, however, is Michael's girlfriend, Erin Eagleton, a senator's daughter, who disappeared after the shooting and hasn't been seen since.

Erin's cousin, Selena Burrows—white house tour director and presidential assistant—knows Erin loved Michael and could never have killed him. Michael was a lawyer, and she has been quietly looking into his cases to see who might have had a motive. It seems Serenamay be on the right track because on the day of the White House Easter Egg Roll that she had organized, she was attacked, her office rifled, and her lap top stolen.

On that same day, former Navy SEALNicholas Cole—now a member of the K-9 unit—was called into his boss's office. It seems the office has been broken into and the files on the Michael Jeffries murder were stolen.

Before long Nicholas and his canine partner Max come together with Serena. As they work to follow her leads, it becomes obvious she needs protection, and Nicholas and Max are right there. They are soon joined by other pairs from the unit.

As the attraction builds between Selena and Nicholas, so does the overall suspense.

SECURITY BREACH incorporates some of the cast from previous books and follows the main plot line up to a point, but new characters are introduced and new plot lines followed. And while this episode, like the others, comes to a satisfying conclusion, the original thread is still dangling. There are six novels in this continuity series, all by different authors. Watch for the next two in July and August. I hope you've been followingfrom book one. If not, it's not too late to start at the beginning! The series is worth it
