New York - Present Day

Natalie is a true city girl, and Manhattan is her playground. But Natalie has a dirty little secret…she fantasizes about country life. A cute little farm with cows, and a hunky farmer husband, of course. So when Hudson Valley hires her office to create a tourism campaign for their town, Natalie jumps at the chance to stay in the adorable little town, and especially to be near the hunky dairy farmer she's seen at the farmers' market.

Oscar has seen Natalie at the farmers' market, always there to buy the cheese made at his farm. But they've never spoken more than a few words to each other. To his surprise, Natalie is incredibly chatty, or at least she is whenever she can't actually see him. Apparently being face-to-face makes her more than a little flustered. But even her big city attitude can't turn him off. But can a city girl and a country boy really make it work?

If CREAM OF THE CROP is an example of Alice Clayton's writing style, she should already be on everyone's buy list. This book is worth reading for the laughs alone, but the characters really make it something special. Oscar and Natalie are perfect together, and watching their personalities both clash and fit together is a joy to see.

CREAM OF THE CROP follows NUTS (Oct 2015), but it can be read as a stand-alone. Be prepared, however, because you'll be hunting down the first book in the series the second you finish this one. And be on the lookout for BUNS, release date to be determined.
