Dunley, Ireland – Present Day

After coming to Ireland because her sister Laura is about to give birth, Georgia Page has begun to love the area and is thinking of staying. The night the baby is born, Sean Connolly, who is the baby's father's cousin, takes Georgia back to Laura and her husband's mansion, where the two sit to chat and drink wine. One thing leads to another, and Sean and Georgia end up making love. Neither can deny the sexual feelings are there, but that is all that there can be between confirmed bachelor Sean and gun-shy Georgia. But when Sean's mother has a mild heart attack and expresses to her son that she wants him settled, he blurts out the first thing he can think of…that's  he now engaged to Georgia.  But he is going to have to convince the lady to agree to a fake engagement.

Georgia was dumped by her ex-husband and doesn't want to be burned by another man. She's attracted to Sean, but the smooth charmer isn't exactly her idea of a perfect husband. Yet even as his suggestion for a fake engagement has her saying no, he's working his worldly charms to convince her otherwise. When her ex's fiancée sends Georgia an invite to their wedding, she suddenly knows just how she can rub in that she no longer cares…by bringing Sean along as her fiancé. Yet the more she's around Sean, the harder it becomes to not fall in love with him.

Irish charm has to be Sean's middle name because he can just about persuade people to do anything. This includes Georgia agreeing to a phony engagement to please his mother and letting it get to the point of announcing the banns in church. Georgia is skeptical of Sean's sincerity in the first place because he's made it clear he enjoys his bachelorhood too well. She has had to put a shell around her heart after the devastating blow her ex dealt her, and she can't afford another heartbreak. Meanwhile, Georgia, with the help of Sean, starts the process of opening her own business in Dunley and moving into her own home. For the first time in awhile, she's happy, even as the engagement with Sean continues. Is there any chance the engagement can turn real?

Connected to UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL (HD#2179), readers get a chance to visit the heart of Ireland and live and breathe all things Irish in AN OUTRAGOUS PROPOSAL.  Sean is charming, as well as a bit of a cad at times. While Georgia thought she wouldn't fall in love with him, she did, and it hurts her to see that he doesn't feel the same way. For Sean, it's all about business and doing what's necessary. When he does realize the errors of his way and almost loses Georgia, will he come crawling back to her on his knees? You'll have to read AN OUTRAGEOUS PROPOSAL to learn the answer.

A charming and sensual tale, AN OUTRAGEOUS PROPOSAL, is a read you won't want to miss.
