But he had to go away to college while she chose to remain. It is while he’s home on a visit that he spots her hugging Josh, a local boy. Trent never explained to Allie his reasons why he turned his back on her.

Meanwhile, Allie’s broken heart has left her bitter towards Trent. She could’ve left the island but has chosen to remain, even as the memories of him haunt her. At first, when she sees him, she thinks she’s hallucinating. But it is Trent. Their reunion is explosive, and they make love, but has anything really changed? Trent has gone on with his life, while Allie remains tied to the past. In A SUMMER TO REMEMBER, Allie and Trent have to get past why they split before they can move onto the future. He also has to deal with the fact that he may have been betrayed by others. But can there be a future for them?
