Los Angeles, California – Present Day

Widower Prince Mikos Colin Alexander has been feeling the pressure lately at home and is undecided if he wants to continue as royalty; he decides to take his young daughter, Iris, to California for six months while he makes his decision. As such, he is in need of a temporary nanny and ends up hiring highly qualified Darcy Cooper, even though he recognizes that he is also attracted to her. Darcy intrigues him as they get to know one another, but she really doesn't like to open up about herself. This should be a good thing, because Colin isn't telling her everything about himself. The last thing Colin needs is to get involved with any woman right now, especially since he hasn't told Darcy that he is a prince.

Darcy is still reeling after the breakup from her devious fiancé and the money he stole from her. She'd been saving not only for her nanny business, but to adopt a child of her own. Darcy desperately needs the money she'll earn working as she is practically homeless. She almost immediately is at loggerheads with the exasperating Colin, because although he clearly loves his little girl, he is overprotective of her. Darcy knows little ones need the freedom to sometimes express themselves and grow, but Colin disagrees. As they battle over how to raise Iris, the sexual tension between them heats up. A fling might do them both good, but an inability to trust each other is going to be a barrier that's hard to break.

No doubt Colin wouldn't want anyone to feel sorry for him, but he's still reeling from a near death injury that still hobbles him and from the death of his wife. As such, he's devoting his time and energy to raising Iris and is thinking of stepping down as the prince of Galini Isle. His brother, the king, has allowed him six months to make his decision, and he plans take as much time as possible. Hiring Darcy makes her the only staff member of the household and requires that she live with him and Iris. Being in close quarters forces them into contact with each other, and mutual attraction soon builds. But an American commoner is not the perfect bride for a prince. An affair is all Colin can offer Darcy.

After the humiliation and breakup from her fiancé, Darcy has retreated into a shell when it comes to dating and opening up to people about what happened. From the moment she met Iris, she adored the little girl. Colin, however, intimidates her with the power that he has over her emotions. The last thing she needs is to get involved with a man who makes her lose her head…or her heart. Yet the passion between them is powerful and can't be denied. Is getting involved with her boss a huge mistake? How will Darcy react when she learns Colin is a prince?

A couple scarred by the past have to battle with their inner emotions and learn to trust each other in WHAT THE PRINCE WANTS. Winning that trust isn't going to be easy, but love can't be denied. Grab yourself a copy of the intriguing and enjoyable WHAT THE PRINCE WANTS by Jules Bennett.
