Charming, Texas – Present Day Navy SEAL Ronan Sheridan is on leave and doing some fishing off the beach at Charming when he hooks a big one. But it isn’t a fish that he pulls in. It’s an unconscious woman. He administers CPR, and she barely awakens. Concerned about the unknown woman, he accompanies her to the hospital, where she wakes up. She has amnesia and doesn’t know her name or her past. He names her Elsa and decides to take her to his house. Elsa turns out to be really sweet, and they become close. So close that they are falling in love. It’s all idyllic between them, but will it all come crashing down once she gets her memory back? Readers will know right from the start that Elsa is really Lauren Montez, a high-powered ad executive from Dallas. In fact, some readers might not like the first glimpse of Lauren in OVERBOARD FOR THE HOLIDAYS, as she is greedy and power hungry in her quest to reach the top. Lauren fell overboard during a business function on a yacht late at night—and no one missed her because she was supposed to be going on vacation afterwards. But amnesia has changed Lauren as it helps her, unwittingly, to stop and smell the roses. Ronan is a nice guy. One of those who leaps in to rescue others. Is Elsa/Lauren his latest rescue? Ronan has spent his entire adult life being a Navy SEAL, but after losing his mother, he feels a bit lost. The town of Charming has his cousins, aunt, and uncle. He’s considering whether to retire there and start a new career. The problem is…what? Elsa/Lauren certainly gives him food for thought as he now sees what life could be with a partner by his side. They are living in what is like a bubble since she can’t remember her past. Of course, the bubble breaks one day when a man drives up and introduces himself as Lauren’s boss. Is their sweet life over before it can go to the next step? Will Lauren regain her memory, and if so, will she turn her back on Ronan, or want to try for a future for them? OVERBOARD FOR THE HOLIDAYS is an intriguing tale that pulls you into wondering how Lauren’s amnesia will affect her. It’s clear that Ronan is falling in love with her, but will he love Lauren as much as he does Elsa? An interesting romance that I highly recommend, don’t miss OVERBOARD FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
