Spade knows what it's like to have loved and lost and has no intention of ever getting involved with another human. His connection with Denise is inexplicable, but he can't seem to help himself. Jeaniene Frost has managed to infuse just as much humor, action, and adventure into this tale as in the previous books in the series. Never fear fans of Cat and Bones, they do make an appearance, but FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON is all about Denise and Spade. To understand the background of the characters, it is highly recommended that you read the books in order, also because they are just great stories! As a bit of spice, next up for a mate of his very own is Mencheres. You know that's going to be a wild ride, and I, for one, cannot wait.
