Dain Hawkins, Ciarran D'Abois, and Darquin Vane are members of the Compact of Sorcerers fighting the hybrids and demons. Hybrids are humans who have allowed demons to take their souls; they are half human/half demon, and are now slaves to Solitary, an evil all-powerful demon. Solitary's plan is to come into the human dimension to feed. When Ciarran closed the portal between the two dimensions, Solitary's foot was severed, leaving him trapped. Dain carries around a demon bone which radiates evil -- he is trying to identify whom it belongs to. The hybrids are robbing graves all over the world, and the sorcerers are trying to figure out why. When Dain comes across hybrids in the process of robbing a grave and sees them retrieve a small velvet bag from the corpse, Dain fights the hybrids and grabs the bag; all the while, the demon bone in his pocket throbs, encouraging him to move toward evil.

The tale rolls along at a fast pace with a lot of sexual tension, romance, and battles with the evil hybrids. The sorcerers are all big handsome men who have lived for centuries, using magic and might to save the mortals. Dain is a conjurer -- able to conjure almost anything he desires -- who was introduced in the first book of this series, DEMON'S KISS. His attraction to Vivien is overwhelming, but he knows the problems of falling in love with a mortal, so tries to keep his distance. Vivien's libido has kicked into overdrive; she has never been enamored with anyone as she is with Dain. But what is happening to her that she is losing hours of time? Will the sorcerers find the answer to her dilemma?

Paranormal romance readers will thoroughly enjoy DEMON'S HUNGER. It is a gripping and intense tale, a hot romance, action packed, with fascinating characters, and a strong, satisfying story.
