However, she’d rather live with Mr. Steady in her life than find herself spinning out of control and letting emotions rule. Unfortunately, Kyle gives Heidi an uncomfortable feeling, and she isn’t sure if it’s dislike or…something else. Then, one day, Kyle and Heidi are alone and one thing leads to another. Now Heidi has to confess to Jesse that she’s had sex with his best friend. But why is there never the right opportunity? Perhaps, because deep down, she wants another go-round with Kyle…

Oh, wow! Tori Carrington has scored another deliciously hot, push the envelope tale with RECKLESS, the second story in the Indecent Proposals series. Heidi briefly appeared in the first book in the series, SHAMELESS, as the bookstore cafe’s baker. Heidi grew up with a mother who couldn’t control her libido and produced numerous children from various men, and her sister is following that path. Heidi has no intention of losing herself in a relationship based just upon sex, despite the sex being um…less than perfect with Jesse. Kyle has left Heidi with some emotion she can’t define. He wants there to be more between them, but give up Jesse on a whim for great sex? Heidi just can’t face that prospect.

Kyle knows he isn’t what Heidi sees as her Mr. Perfect, but he also knows that he would do right by her. She just can’t see past her long-term relationship with Jesse to realize that he, Kyle, is the best man for her. He knows he’s killing himself being around her, but Kyle would rather die than hurt Heidi. In the meantime, why not show her what’s she missing out on, and maybe she’ll break things off with Jesse…

Tori Carrington continues to be one of my favorite authors, and readers looking for a sizzling read should not miss the Indecent Proposal series. I strongly suggest picking up SHAMELESS and RECKLESS, as next month, the final story, RESTLESS, is out.
